GoGecko is working in Partnership with Flare Audio to find a Sound Technician to join their team.

 

This is the chance to be a Sound Technician as part of an exciting audio technology company based in Lancing on the South Coast. Flare Audio are a dynamic and progressive outfit who design and manufacture everything from earphones, earplugs and in-ear devices that change the way we hear. They’ve sold over 1.3 million pairs of in-ear devices and ship to over 180 countries with their HQ just 5 minutes from the railway station and the beach.

If you want to work as a Sound Technician in a team whose products are adopted and loved around the world (and if you enjoy cake on your birthday and the odd weekday quiz) then this is the job for you. This role would suit someone with an excellent knowledge and experience of working with sound, which could be from education or pro audio, music engineering or a testing and manufacturing background.

  • Assisting the Design team with new products
  • Addressing any production problems as they arise
  • Delegate manufacturing tasks so that team can meet production deadlines.
  • Organising the repair or replacement of any faulty products
  • Sharing technical product knowledge with the team
  • Quality control on products
  • Diagnose problems, repair and test the complete products.
  • Working on a variety of projects
  • To support and assist technical R&D.
  • Liaise with other teams as necessary, particularly design and customer services.
  • Report any issues or concerns to the Production Manager in a timely manner.

Someone with….

  • An excellent knowledge and experience of working with sound:
  • This could be in pro audio / sound engineering /system technician, testing and manufacturing or equivalent.
  • An interest in music.
  • A high level of computer literacy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • The ability to be flexible and prepared to learn new skills.
  • Self-motivated and pro-active with initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • It would be highly desirable to have electronics knowledge.
