What a night!
We just want to say a huge thank you to all our clients and talented people we have helped secure work for over the last seven years!! We can’t quite believe it but last Friday, at the Adur & Worthing Business Awards, we won Small Business of the Year 2023.
Team GoGecko had a fab time and even got a chance to get out of our jeans and jumpers and glam up for the occasion. (Check us out! )
The Worthing Pavilion set the stage for the Adur & Worthing Business Awards—an evening that promised unforgettable memories, gorgeous food courtesy of Piglet’s Pantry, and a brilliant ABBA hits sing-along performance. We even joined in the infamous conga! It was an event not to be missed.
We were honoured to find ourselves shortlisted for the Small Business award, a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire GoGecko team both past and present. Rhianna, our Marketer, was also in the spotlight, having been shortlisted for the Young Achiever award.
Seven years ago, GoGecko were delighted to be awarded ‘Highly Commended’ in the Start Up category at the Adur & Worthing business awards. We were thrilled to be shortlisted from 40 other very deserving local businesses. It is even more meaningful as GoGecko is based in Worthing and Adur, and it is where most of the team live.
We loved being part of such a vibrant and prestigious local celebration.
Drumrolls at the ready…
As the category was announced, we held our breath.
Then we heard it: “And the winner is, GoGecko Recruitment”.
Winning the Small Business award is more than a recognition; it’s an acknowledgment of the passion and commitment that drives us as a team to provide human high touch recruitment services. Matching talented people with respected progressive businesses across Sussex is hugely satisfying, and we love what we do every single day.
Congratulations to our fellow shortlisted small businesses.
A special mention goes to art-ful Pottery Café and Tamazi Fulfilment, both deserving recipients of the ‘Highly Commended’ title in this category. And the Rose Petal cake company who were our cheer leaders and fellow nominees on our table. Becky is an amazing cake artist and definitely worth checking out if you need a special cake.
We want to thank everyone involved at AWBP. We can’t forget the local businesses, sponsors, nominees and staff at the Pavilion for organising such a spectacular night. We had a brilliant time, and we look forward to continuing our team’s success into 2024.
